Sales Manager

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our team of professionals.

Job Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for growing the sales of the company through effective management of the sales organization and through the development and execution of successful sales strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management
  • Customer Service
  • Budgeting & Business Plans
  • Personnel – recruitment, hiring, firing & conduct of all sales personnel
  • Reporting – responsible to local management as well as corporate management
  • Training – ensure staff receives proper training to conduct their jobs
  • Oversee product training for the sales team
  • Participate in strategic planning for the territory

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead Sales personnel to achieve branch sales objectives
  • Identify, implement and oversee the management of branch programs
  • Act as central point of contact regarding branch sales issues
  • Interface with other internal departments
  • Attend Branch, Supplier and Customer meetings as appropriate
  • Stay up to date on new procedures, policies, and system features.
  • Training in sales approach and selling skills
  • Training in product knowledge

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree an asset
  • At least 5 years sales experience with a proven performance record
  • Prior sales management experience
  • Experience in distribution
  • Self-driven, motivated, results oriented and customer focused.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Strong & proven track record of successfully mentoring & coaching sales teams to achieve their greatest potential.
  • Experience growing a sales team
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives and quotas
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Computer skills necessary: Excel, Word, Outlook
